EVA KERETIC

So If there’s one thing I’ve mastered in the half century of my life, it’s to embrace an experience and create a story. Whether it be in song, or speech, or trying to save the planet.

I've always been in love with music. I first went to university in New York and whilst working as a model, in order to finance my studies, I was approached by an Italian record executive in Milan and asked if I could sing. "Haha...of course I can sing !" I said.  I recorded a single with them and put it in my pocket of experiences and moved on , because I thought I should finish my studies at NYU.  As fate would have it, I landed in Germany and decided to attempt that career in music but decided then, only if I could write the songs (the ones they offered me to sing did not inspire me). So I taught myself guitar and began expressing my stories through songs and lyrics.

I managed to get a record deal with Warner Music in 2003 and released my album "Imported"  and even though it got rave reviews it didn't hit the big time.  So I took over by recording and releasing 5 more albums  over the years. I recorded in a "Live" atmosphere with an amazing team of musicians. Kevin Bents (who had worked with Steely Dan and the Spin Doctors), Fontaine Burnett (played with Chaka Khan, Marla Glen and Wynton Marsalis), Doug Yowell (long-time drummer of Suzanne Vega), Gabriel Gordon (guitarist for Natalie Merchant)  and Ari Hest.

"Bittersweet Sessions", "Sky Wide Open", "The 70's" , "50/50" , and "A to Z through Germany" are works of which I am incredibly proud and in hindsight I could never have wished for a better trail to have blazed upon.

On the side while raising my kids I also wrote songs for brands, had companies steal my songs for their campaigns (which my publisher saved), developed an agency for team-building with songwriting (The Jamplan) , taught and wrote songs for children to help learn the English language and made videos.

A few years ago I started working with charitable projects from world peace to climate awareness. I was lucky enough to be invited to join "The Climate Reality Project" founded by Ex Vice President Al Gore and since then have been very active sharing my stories of sustainable innovative ideas for a better future, on the stage and in songs.. Also working with amazing people like the Rosenzweigs on their "Many Children One World" global peace project has brought me experiences that have warmed my heart and kept me longing for more.
